Samsung Galaxy A80 with 48 Rotating Camera and Snapdragon 730G SoC Launched

Samsung Galaxy A80 has been announced at an event in Thailand. It is the top-end smartphone of Samsung’s popular Galaxy A-series which comes with some interesting and impressive features. The handset offers a 48MP camera, a full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset, Dolby Atmos audio, and in-display fingerprint sensor. The main key attraction feature of the device is its rotating camera that works on both rear and front side. It also comes with 25W super-fast charging technology. As per the features and design, we can definitely say that the new Samsung handset will attract the customers.

Samsung Galaxy A80 Price

The smartphone carries a price tag of EUR 649 (approximately Rs. 50,500). It will be available in three color options, i.e. Angel Gold, Ghost White, and Phantom Black. The Galaxy A80 will roll out in Europe from Mid-may.

It features a massive 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED new infinity display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone carries a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It comes with a glass back finish and beautiful design which makes the phone very premium. Talking about its dimensions, it measures 165.2 x 76.5 x 9.3mm. The Galaxy A80 is based on Android OS 9.0 Pie with Samsung’s One UI on the top. The device also has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

As for the processor, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G clocked at octa-core 2.2GHz and 1.9GHz Hexa CPU along with Adreno 618 GPU. It offers an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, there is no microSD slot for memory expansion. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port and much more.

In terms of camera, it has a rotating camera with a triple camera setup that features a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, a secondary 8-megapixel camera with an ultra wide-angle lens and an f/2.2 aperture and a 3D depth camera on board. The phone is powered by a 3,700 mAh battery with 25W super-fast charging technology.
