Oppo has announced its new mid-range smartphone, called Oppo AX5s in Taiwan. The Android-based smartphone has mediaTak’s Helio P35 chipset, dual rear camera setup, and mid-range line-up RAM for multitasking. In our eyes, the most attractive feature of the new Oppo AX5s is its massive battery which comes with 4230 mAh. However, the company has announced yet about the pricing detail of Oppo AX5s, though we can expect this to be revealed soon. The handset can be purchased in two different color options, i.e. Black and Red.
Oppo AX5s has almost similar specifications as A5 which was launched last year. The new phone has a 6.2-inch 2.5D curved glass HD+ display comes in waterdrop notch. The display carries a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. The handset measures 155.9 x 75.4 x 8.2mm and weighs around 170 grams. Oppo has provided Android Operating System for the phone, which is 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.2 on the top.

Under the hood, the phone comes with a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset clocked at 2.3GHz octa-core CPU along with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable via microSD card up to 256GB. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS+GLONASS, USB-OTG support and much more. Unfortunately, there is missing a fingerprint sensor or in-display sensor in the handset.
In terms of camera, Oppo AX5s features a dual camera setup on the back, which includes a 13MP primary camera sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and 2MP secondary camera sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front side, there is an 8MP camera sensor with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies. The company incorporates a 4,230mAh battery on the phone.
